Overview

Amalgamated Life Insurance Company provides Life Insurance, Accident, Disability, Stop Loss and Voluntary/Worksite sales to both Taft-Hartley and Non Taft-Hartley. The Amalgamated Life Service Executive, Voluntary/Worksite Sales will support the sales and account management activities of the Director of Enrollment, Voluntary Benefits Sales Consultants and Client Service Manager. The Amalgamated Life Service Executive, Voluntary/Worksite Sales is responsible for responding to inquiries, solving problems and ensuring client satisfaction with products and service.  Coordinates with matrix partners to ensure needs are met and potential problems are averted.  Keeps matrix partners informed of account status and opportunities for expanded business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for responding to simple and complex inquiries, solving non-routine problems using independent judgment and discretion, and ensuring client satisfaction with products and services
  • Coordinate with Director of Enrollment, Voluntary Benefits Sales Consultants and Client Service Manager to ensure client needs are met and potential problems are averted
  • May be involved in new account installations to introduce the concept of the Account Team and familiarize themselves with the account
  • Input and maintain all appropriate contact data and service requests
  • Assist the Director of Enrollment, Voluntary Benefits Sales Consultants and Client Service Manager in preparing and scheduling new client and existing client enrollments
  • Develop and maintain effective business partnerships to ensure service issues are managed proactively; communicate clearly, accurately and effectively with all business partners including Billing, Eligibility, Claims and Customer Service
  • Participate in regularly scheduled feedback and information exchange sessions with key business partners
  • Fully support Director of Enrollment, Voluntary Benefits Sales Consultants and Client Service Manage in achieving their business goals and objectives

Qualifications

  • Proven success operating in a fast-paced, customer service environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills
  • Strong PC skills to include Excel and Word
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
